I find myself attracted to the wolf first and then to the brown Bear. Spring is coming , hey who will be watching the animals cruise and hunt in spring? I also am extremely fond of Ravens as they enjoy playing wilh wolves as I just had witnessed yesterday.

I've just joined this group to learn more about how to track animals. I've always been a nature person. My husband and his family are all Cherokee's and I've adopted their traditional way of life and religion as my own, and we are raising our children in the traditional Cherokee ways.
Traditionally, I know women didn't hunt, but I'm sure they knew how to track animals and things of that nature. So I am here to learn more. Thanks for having me.

I use to love tracking squirrels and other wood land creatures. I 'd go out in the woods till dusk all the time. Being in the woods is just up lifting! I always felt better after coming out of the woods.

has anyone ever tracked a wolf pack or a lone wolf?

In Alaska I tracked a lone wolf for about two miles. And yes I found a cache of 3 spruce hens or grouse under some grass and leaves and somewhat gnawled on. I left quickly as i did not wish to stay long and leave my human scent. Tho i di have 4 hybred wolves and smell like them at times when i go tracking.

Hey folks,

Has anyone some info or exeperience on repelling porcupines. i.e. there is one coming in to the wood shed many nights to knaw at the plywood. Sometimes it makes a mess of projects happening in there, and it's really quite, and next to a place I like to sleep in.

Bliss Blessings,

Tracking Deer

Well to start off with I've got a question about tracking deer. I am wondering where a deer might hang out when they lose their antlers and/or whenever right about now. I know those are two totally different seasons but ... are deer typically habitual and keep to a regular home territory or do they move around depending on the season like Elk? many thanks for your thoughts.

I am curious to know some great tracking tales. Where was the coolest tracks you have ever seen? What was the situation? How well were you able to piece together what had happened? If you could what would you like to see the track of? Best, C'est Moi
